Quick chocolate pudding

How about a quick dessert recipe? And by quick, I mean really quick. This masterpiece can be stirred together in just a few minutes and tastes incredibly delicious. The chocolate pudding then needs to be put in the fridge for about 1 hour to become firm and creamy and then you can start feasting.

Chocolate pudding is an absolute favorite in our house. My dad in particular is over the moon when I open the fridge in the evening and take out the jars of pudding. But my brother is also an avid chocolate pudding fan. I think the two of them could easily eat 8 portions together. The question often arises as to whether I could make more next time, even though I've already made double the portion.

So remember: it's better to prepare a little more right away so that you have enough supplies in the fridge.

Have you ever made your own chocolate pudding? If not, then you should do so as soon as possible, because you're definitely missing out. It's nice and chocolatey and if you work with less sugar, it's also quite reasonable in terms of calories. As you may have noticed, I never use too much sugar in most recipes. In my opinion, many of today's recipes are far too sweet, which I don't like at all. What's more, too much sugar isn't exactly beneficial either, which is why I consciously use less sugar when baking. I often use a little coconut blossom sugar, which gives desserts a slightly caramelly note.

Quick chocolate pudding

Cooking utensils

  • 1 pan
  • 1 small bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 1 measuring cup
  • 4 glasses or small bowls

Ingredients

  • 500 ml Milk
  • 30 gr Corn starch
  • 20 gr Cocoa
  • 35 gr sugar I use 30 g normal sugar and 5 g coconut blossom sugar
  • 2 Drops doTERRA Vanilla Oil or 1 teaspoon vanilla powder
  • 200 ml Whipped cream

Instructions

  •  Rinse the jars or bowls with cold water.
  • First, mix 100 ml of the milk with the remaining ingredients in a small bowl.
  • Bring the remaining milk to the boil and add the chocolate milk as soon as it boils. Stir until the pudding mixture has thickened, remove from the heat and pour directly into the rinsed glasses or bowls.
  • Allow the pudding to cool slightly and then place in the fridge for approx. 1 hour to cool completely and set.
  • Before serving, whip the cream until stiff and spread over the pudding.

Notes

Fresh fruit such as oranges, berries or bananas go well with this.
 
If you prefer, you can also add 1 drop of wild orange oil instead of the vanilla oil to make a chocolate orange pudding.

Cooking with essential oils
When cooking with essential oils, you should always stick to the quantities specified in the recipes in order to achieve the best possible flavor. Essential oils are highly concentrated plant substances. A single drop of an essential oil can add complexity and flavor to a dish. Certain oils are particularly flavorful and effective. To avoid over-seasoning, simply dip a toothpick into the oil and then stir it into the ingredients. 
Please also note that the effectiveness of the essences decreases from 60 degrees, which is why the oils should be added at the end of the preparation if possible. However, if this is not possible, e.g. when baking, then simply use a few drops of the oil.
